Monk's road

Beautiful training walk today from Malham Tarn to Arncliffe and back following the Monk's Road. En route we came across the derelict buildings of Middle House Farm, looking like it was being reclaimed by moss so thick was the covering on trees, walls and ground. We peeked over the wall and discovered a carpet of snowdrops. Quite magical. If it hadn't been so early we would've stopped here for lunch. Instead we headed on for the lovely village of Arncliffe. The sun came out and we sat by the sparkling waters of the Skirfare, thanking our lucky stars for being out in such a beautiful part of the world on such a day.
