I was watching a pupil design with technology materials when he laid this part on its side for a moment. I don't know why I find a fan shape so appealing, but I got genuine pleasure from the shape of the splayed pieces, the back shadow and the hint of red.

I was discussing it with him and eventually got the camera out, took the pic and showed him the result. It was a lovely moment to watch him suddenly appreciate a design he hadn't seen, and hadn't realised was there.

Leading learning is just a privilege.
