The Edge of the Wold

Double Barrow

At last, after a week of grey skies, there was a touch of blue today amongst the fluffy clouds. The estuary was perfectly still and reflecting this morning. The limestone hill of Whitbarrow was perfectly mirrored in the cloudy water.

But there was no going too far today, the big event kicked off at 1430 hours, and the Grand Slam was secured. There wasn't that feeling of inevitability that there was with those great Welsh sides of the 1970's when I was growing up in South Wales, but this is surely a team that may come to match that greatness.

An early blip for me today. The tea is cooking waiting Wifie's return, then we are going out to see the Iron Lady which has its Arnside premiere tonight.

I will catch up later. Thank you for all those who favourited and commented on the London Eyecons.
