The Edge of the Wold

We were very late home last night, and it was starting to snow. In the space of a few hours everything was covered in a soggy, white blanket. Even at 7am, the thaw was well underway, and water was streaming down from the canopy in Redhills Wood. Perhaps this will be the last chance this season to blip Gus in the snow, particularly with a tiny, blurry Highland cow approaching him. Perhaps the last chance too to see a heavily pregnant lady sat in the snow.

We spent the evening with David and Kathy at their home in Silverdale. A brilliant evening, the food and conversation were excellent, and one of the highlights was an impersonation of a somewhat derelict Johnny Winter coming on stage to play guitar. David's passion for natural history is only matched by his enthusiasm to get the photograph of birds, dragonflies and butterflies. He has a lot of brilliant photos that would win a lot of hearts and stars in this place.

Wifie has been on her Tai Chi day again, and now is over in Yorkshire for a family gathering with her three brothers. So I'm having a lads' night in with Gus and Bob.

This blip is for Draco. I hope she sees it, she is very fond of our Gus.
