Travels with Alfie

A grave concern

A quick dash out of the house once the rain stopped and before the light disappeared and I found myself in the dead centre of the village.

It is a beautiful and fascinating place. One of the gravestones from the 18th century is so sad it would bring a tear to a glass eye, made all the more poignant as it was inscribed by the most incompetent stonemason. Each line runs out of space and the mason crams the letters in plus it's full of spelling mistakes - all done in the most elegant flowing script. It looks like a document that has just been proof read with carets and deletions. I must transcribe it and blip it soon.

Hope you are having a blipping good weekend.
