Clouds

A fine day today, which seemed to really be about as close to the archetype of an early spring day as could be wished for. Appropriately enough we went for a walk through the meadows along the river, and amongst the other pleasing sights the clouds were looking very fine and dramatic today.

As you'll have noticed, this picture has been photoshopped a little, but really the clouds were looking pretty good in any case. I think clouds suffer a bit from being familiar; I've wondered before now if the aurora was going on all the time overhead, and clouds were only seen from remote northern regions, would we regard them with the same wonder and awe that the Northern Lights get? I'll feel better able to answer that once I've been to see them...
