eternity in an hour

My granddaughter gave a fine demonstration of the above today, completely delighted by some mud, a puddle and a worm. Such intensity of concentration! I wish we could recapture it, but I think that watching her experience the world gives us a little taste again.

Not my best photo today, not even my best photo of my daughter and granddaughter, but who could resist this on Mothers' Day? It was my first Mothers' Day without my own mother and I was glad we could share it with my lovely girls.
