Highly strung

'The Unstrung' had our first gig tonight at an orchestra fundraising concert in Glasgow Uni.

We played pretty well considering the circumstances: Nick, the other violinist, couldn't find his music for one of the pieces. Solution? Look up the original part (an oboe, in a different key!) on IMSLP on someone's iPad and play from that! It worked though and we didn't have to cut the piece :)

And what did I find when I got back to my flat? I'd taken the part by mistake last week as we swap seats quite a lot during rehearsals as we share 1st/2nd violin parts. Oops.
