Thirty five years ago I sat on this beach, wondering what I was going to do with my life, where I was going to go next. I'd hitch hiked up here, fallen in love with the place, and didn't want to go back to "the real world"! A year later I was here for good.

Today I was back on the beach again, with Ollie. A shop in Stromness is going to sell my socks, and some cushions I've been making too. The owner was really positive and complimentary and it was a great boost to my confidence. It's all very well having your family and friends saying nice things, but someone prepared to stock them in their shop is something else!
