Under the Hedge (2)

I have had a ridiculously busy day and it's only 2pm!!
It was school photos today. Naturally on a day that neither of mine go in.
And naturally Miss L's were at 9.15am and Miss E's were at 10.45am.
And their school is in the midddle of nowhere so popping somewhere for a cup of tea isn't that easy.
So it was a frantic start to get them scrubbed up and looking presentable - not normally my strongpoint with them! And we made it to school for about 9.13am
Naturally they were already running late so Miss L wasn't finished until 10am. So we had a very quick trip into Buckingham, dropped off our tenancy agreement at the agents (they've extended us for six months while the house is still in probate), went to the Post Office to get some forms to cash in the kids' Premum Bonds (yes, it's come to that.....) went to Tescos to get a healthy snack of Orio cookies and milk bottle sweets and drove back to school at top speed. To find out that they'd miraculously caught up and as we walked into the gym Miss E was told to get her shoes off and get into position. Blimey!
And then it was home to garden madness. They've been digging and planting seeds, refilling bird feeders, watering everything and, best of all, playing hide and seek in the middle of a huge, seemingly inpenetrable bush. They thought it was the funniest thing ever.
Now I've plonked them in front of Tree Fu Tom so I can have a rest before we're off to the dentist and Tescos.
And then pilates tonight.
And then I'll be collapsing in a heap in my bed!!
