Marjorie's ramblings

By walkingMarj

Sunday in Cyprus

We had a short drive today and then a walk on tiny roads through the fields near the village of Drousea. There were goats being herded from field to field and a new house being built. The views here are stunning. You could see snow on the top of the Troodos mountains.

We pottered along, more confident of some plant identification than before. There were enough new plants to keep us on our toes and the cameras were kept very busy.

I thought you might like to see another of the ophrys group. This is Ophrys sintensii also called alasiatica. We saw several different bee orchids today and I'm just beginning to see the differences more easily.

I hear you have great weather back in the UK too. Enjoy.
