Walking over Ben Chrachaig

A dry sunny day today which didn't start out quite so well.

After we had done our chores we went for a walk onto Ben Chraichaig. Having climbed the steps above the Clan Nicol memorial we sat for a short time to admire the view and to take a wee rest.

Our next view was looking back to portree as we climbed further up the hill. The more you climb the less foreground you see but the greater the panorama becomes.

Soon Clare was striding off ahead of me whilst I hung back for a couple more photographs. This one and the one above.

Though it was windy, the wind wasn't particularly cold and the sun was warm. It was a lovely walk.
