A Day Worth Recording

Zen and the Art of Not Doing 44 in a 40

Advanced Driving Observer Training Day today.

As previously mentioned I'm an 'Observer' (read: instructor) for the local IAM advanced driving group. Every so often, in the Cambridge Group anyway, we have to do training and reassessment ourselves. The morning was a classroom session on the process of teaching (and teaching adults in particular), and the afternoon was a series of drives with our driving being checked by a police 'Class 1' driver.

Having scored plus points for good observation and positioning (which, it might surprise you, involved the 'wrong' side of the road at times) I was forgiven my brief over-enthusiasm on leaving a 30 limit.

The above process is hardly photogenic, so here's some stones J left out on the patio instead.
