Still beautiful

I arrived at my appointment to get the results of last week's bone density scan, just as my specialist was rushing out the door to an emergency.

It happens.

An absolutely glorious day and I happily pottered home on my bike. I detoured around the Avon Loop, on older part of the central city close to the Avon River. Boy, what a mess. Some homes still have people living in them. Many are abandoned and some are at crazy angles. I looked twice in disbelief. I can't imagine what it would be like to come home to find my home like that.

It's still a city pulsing with movement. Still with it's cordon around much of the central city, life goes on around it. We just get on with what needs doing. That's harder for some than others.

I stopped to look again at the ruins of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. It is still very beautiful and grand.

Worthy of more blips methinks.
