Give Blood

Taken from the side of the Give Blood bus as I exited from the playdrome in Clydebank (one pint lighter) and with the waterproof plaster in the crease of my arm, sore from the needle and numb from the pressure. Since being at the birth of our daughter and seeing how much blood is lost during this experience I aim to do this small but important task every three months, so far so good.

Its a weird experience, almost like a movie. A zombie one. Everyone lying on beds with blood pumping out of their arms into small plastic pouches that are weighed and put into flight cases.
