Lake of Mentieth

We had an unplanned visit to the Lake of mentieth today and a lovely surprise it was too!
Supposed to be finishing the papering and painting today in our daughter's new house but the plasterere, who should have been finished yesterday, were still there working on lots of sangging issues throughout the house. They gave us some very helpful avice which will be very useful when we finishthe work.

So we played " truant" from the work today and enjoyed a visit to Scotland's only lake, really just a lochan as far as we could see but quite busy with people fishing in the middle of the water, we spotted four boats all with several people in them.Hope they caught tonight's dinner as they were out there all of the two hours we spent wandering then having our lunch at a table outside in the warm sun. Can you believe it, eating al fresco in Scotland in March ?Would certainly recommend the hotel food there.

I loved the golden reeds swaying in the light breeze so had to include these in this landscape of thearea around Port of Mentieth and the lake.
