It Started Down Under

Red to the Rescue

This evening, just when I decided I had nothing interesting to blip, the street filled itself with the sounds of sirens and the sight of red vehicles.

A neighbour of ours was transfered from one firefighting department to another and his previous colleagues paid him a tribute by sounding their horns and sirens while driving past his house. And by doing so, they drew all people from their homes onto the street to see where the noise was coming from. After a short inspection of his troops he and his family got into the trucks and did a parade through the area.

Just after hits circus we had to leave home for choir rehearsal. We rehearsed some new songs for our concert and I rehearsed about half an hour with the female voices to make a start with a new song: "Lady Marmelade". We're getting there, although I was not originally trained to play piano and be conductor at the same time!
