Thirsty?

We were lucky today to be on a dock when a group of 5 manatees came by looking for a drink of water! They really are not very pretty animals, but they are very gentle. Maybe that is why they are called a sea cow. They come to the dock looking for fresh water. When people run their hose they come up and will drink. In this photo one was drinking and the others were waiting for their turn. Their bodies are covered with barnacles and when you reach down to touch them they are "squishy" for want of another description! It really was a neat experience!
