Joseph Cowen

Whilst meandering around the streets of Newcastle I saw this statue next to a strange shaped building the statue is of a man called Joseph Cowen a MP back in the 1800's who was educated at Reyton and Edinburgh University by all accounts he was described as a European Revolutionary hiding concealed messages inside bricks that were being shipped abroad to some very noteable people.
