My topsy-turvy life

Toffees

Everton 2 Albion 0
One of the oldest mascots in English football is Everton's Toffee Lady. These days a different girl each match walks around the Goodison pitch handing out toffees or Everton mints to the crowds before the game. It apparently goes back as far as the 1890s when Old Ma Bushell used to send her daughter to the match with a basket full of individually wrapped Everton mints. The costume is a reference to this original marketing ploy.

It's been years since I got sweets from the Toffeee Lady...mmmm minty.

The Albion game's a big one for me so it was nice to see a professional performance by the Blues to get 3 points and put us above Liverpool, long may it continue...
