Harry Potter on his way to Mallaig

Another day in rainy Fort William and one mission....get on a train.

We'd heard about a Jacobite Train that takes you to Mallaig...but we did what were also advised to do and that was to just get on Scotrail. It's far cheaper and goes the exact same route.

Yes, there isn't much in Mallaig (I would however recommend a wee pub called The Marine as the bar guy and the three regulars were super conversation) but the journey there is spectacular and totally worth it.

Oh, and yes, we were the youngest folk on the train but I, for one, am an old soul. The view the whole way there was stunning and you also get to go over the very famous Glenfinnian Viaduct (most of you will recognise it from Harry Potter...I've never read/watched it so whooosht over the head).
