Turning Point

Noordhoek Beach

I offered to drive Russ into work this morning as he seemed so tired and the traffic is usually nose to tail from 7am onwards. It turned out that this wasn't the case, perhaps because of the Easter holiday. We parked at the corner of Wale/Long street and had a coffee in Bean There before going our separate ways.

Fizz, Hamish and I set off with Bow Wow to Noordhoek, stopping at Constantia village on our way to buy bottles of water for the walk. We also visited the pet shop where we carefully chose toys which we thought to be indestructible and that would float, as well as Blinkie's chicken liver health crunchies which Hamish hopes to use for training purposes (he later discovered that Bow Wow remembers all his tricks!).

We walked the whole length of the Noordhoek beach with Hamish throwing a new frisbee far into the waves for the dog to fetch. Bow Wow was absolutely exhausted by the time we got back to the car.

We ate our lunch near the beach at a newish restaurant called Franiebas. The service was excellent and the food a taste sensation! We will certainly be visiting there again and recommending it to friends.

On our way home we drove along Chapman's Peak - one of the most famous and beautiful stretches of road in the world.
