Bric a brac sculpture

This is a detail of a rather unusual house in Lézignan. I've been meaning to blip it for ages, but it's now become more pressing because major development in the town centre means that it will be demolished sometime next year. It's a shame, but it's been going to rack and ruin since the owner died, and at some point it's going to be a hazard to passers by. And this part of Lézignan's town centre is in dire need of renovation.

Apparently this house was owned by a builder, and whenever he had some surplus material or scrap to dispose of he used it to enhance its appearance. Various bits have dropped off again over the years. This sculpture is more exposed than it used to be; I've no idea what it represents.

I posted some more photos on Flickr.

And today's spare blip: I made some hot cross buns which I am rather pleased with. Not much in the looks department, but they taste good!
