All Scrabbled Out!

Another VERY lazy day!
Took Eli to our local farm shop for some goodies to take home with her,- cuts of home reared beef and pork , corn fed chicken breasts big enough for two, hand made black pudding and apple sausages, pork burgers and home made coleslaw.
Came home and played a game of Scrabble but I lost miserably, mainly due to the cheating that was going on.Whoever heard of the word 'mitt' being spelt with only one 't,'towed' spelt 'toed,'or 'honkd' with or without an 'e'!!!Talk about stretching the rules!!
Only just enough time to decorate our hard boiled eggs before a lush, thick,fillet steak,( specially requested by Eli,) accompanied by dad's speciality roasties and veg and followed by home made apple pie and cream.Well done to the chef.I taught him well.Then a quick roll down the path (the eggs , not us!) and the deed was done.
Eli's train back to Glasgow was earlier than she thought, so the taxi service was once again in operation.So sad to see her go.Just wish I had felt a little more like myself and had been up to taking part in a few more events.
