Being WildCardinal...

Hampshire landscape

(This is a stitch of 8 images into a panorama. Better large.)

A 15 mile walk today. Great to get out in the Hampshire countryside and get away from the office. As with all long walks, it was great to get my boots off at the end of it.

The walk covered quite a bit of different landscape; woodland, open fields, villages. It also crossed a dual carriageway (noisy) and the train line to the west country. I was taking a couple of pictures along the line when a police car drove past - they probably thought I was some kind of train spotter. There was also some huge excavation into the chalk down at one point. No idea what it was - possibly building a new underground water reservoir? We certainly need more!
