Up close and personal at St Margaret's

.... in the photographic sense, that is.

It was very, very chilly on the invigilation desk this morning at St Margs and not very busy although things picked up around lunchtime. Had plenty of opportunity to wander round with my camera, though, poking into bits I hadn't noticed before. This is a detail of the gorgeous stained glass window that is directly in the line of the vision of someone sat at the desk so makes gazing into space a very pleasant experience.

Highlight of the shift was when a couple came in to collect a painting they had bought and the artist was there - purely by coincidence. They were absolutely delighted to meet her, as was she to meet them.

For a slightly tatty - but much loved - deconsecrated church St Margaret's is actually quite beautiful.

Really looking forward to the radio interview, now that I know what I'm going to be talking about.

Have a good evening everyone.
