Saguaro

Ready for transplant this seven foot cactus shows how little root ball is required to restart. This fellow probably contains 500 pounds of water which will help it survive transplant shock.

Not a very large footprint for a tall heavy plant. Usually they are propped up by 2x4s for a few weeks.

A new nursery opened on Oracle Road about three miles from home. They are still stocking and arranging. It should be a nice resource.
