My poor little house still wasn't back to normal after last Sunday's GP-lunch hosting, despite all best intentions to tackle the cleaning and tidying by last night at the latest. Up at the crack of dawn (well, 7.30) so, to get stuck in. Things were finally back to normal around 12.15, biscuits were got in from the local corner-shop, and I sat back with G&T in hand to await the arrival of the music group for my monthly hosting. We had a good session, nicely varied and full of good stuff. Two of the guys were back from their holiday breaks, so numbers were up on recent times.

There was only time for one drink and a quick chat in the pub afterwards, then I headed across town to Carl's pace to give him a hand with preparations for tomorrow's hosting of lunch for the Italian Grand Prix (two weeks in succession is a bit much, really, FIA people!). Actually, he'd done most of the work which needed to be done, and had the place looking great, complete with new furniture layout to accommodate the visitors. We did some preliminary research in preparation for tomorrow's no-fuss food and then went down to Odell's restaurant in Glasthule for a bite to eat (okay, but not great, and over-priced for what we got). I was still blipless at this stage, and was pleased to spot this window display in a shop beside the restaurant. I can't say I remember what sort of shop it was, or what the significance of the display was.

Across the road in one of the local pubs we bumped into some of Carl;s neighbours and got involved in a bit of a mini session with them. It was all quite enjoyable, really, and it was good to relax after the rigours of housework we'd both been through earlier in the day.
