Iron giant

Ok, so not actually iron, and more of a tall chimney than a bona-fide giant, but still, the effect when standing beneath it was impressive all the same. This is the chimney of the boilerhouse at the hospital in Shrewsbury, in case you were wondering - I took this photo during work today, and for work purposes too as it goes, but it turned out to be 'blip of the day' material.

It's been a good day all considered - as well as looking at chimneys I went to a meeting of a local photographic group at the Coffeehouse down by the station (hence the late posting) and undoubtedly the high point was a feature in the local paper about this project and my exhibition. The number of views of my blip journal has gone up by over two thousand since lunchtime!
