Happy Birthday Livingston.

Livingston is the largest town in West Lothian. It celebrates it's 50th birthday today. As a New Town it was well designed with separate communities linked by pathways away from the roads. There are many roundabouts, each with it's sculpture, and many bridges over the river Almond , every area is landscaped with beautiful trees and shrubs. The main shopping centre has over the last fifteen years been rapidly growing into a huge Mall. Many little villages surround Livingston each with their much older history and traditions. It is a young town with a young population.
