Fluffy chicks

This week, Anna's nursery took delivery of 10 eggs, an incubator and post-hatching box. We were updated on Tuesday via the nursery's Facebook page that one of the eggs had hatched. Anna went to nursery on Wednesday to find four more had hatched, she saw another three hatch herself and a ninth was hatching as I picked her up (apparently 90% is pretty good going). So today, the nine chicks were all fluffed up and enjoying their post-natal accommodation, which was a bit cramped but very cosy looking. The boys and girls got to hold the chicks and they made chick biscuits and a salt dough chick decoration. I think I know what Anna is going to say when it is time to re-home them..."Mummy, can we have one?"
