Weeping Crabapple

We arrived back in Northampton last night near midnight--24 hours after getting up at 6 am on Saturday, to fly from Marseille to Frankfurt to Boston. (Details of our very enjoyable six-hour stopover in Frankfurt here--backblipped today).

This morning we went out for breakfast--unusually, since Marylee doesn't like to, but there was little in the house. Just after leaving Sylvester's--a true breakfast destination, we passed this modest tree (ID'd by a fellow tending the lawn). It's emblematic of the state of spring in Northampton--a bit behind where we've been in Europe.

Edit:
Three days later I posted the same tree--its blossoms had turned from pink to entirely white! (I've posted the exactly location on both blips.)
