Start Bay, South Devon

Taken from near Stoke Fleming, looking south. The closest beach is Blackpool Sands, with the smaller Landcombe Cove behind it and, in the distance, the long stretch of Slapton Sands. Despite rain in the night, and some heavy showers, it's been another beautiful day, if rather cool and windy. (And - hmm - it's raining stair-rods even as I type!)

Thanks, for the second day running, for helping my birds hit the spotlight page. The day before yesterday, it was one robin; yesterday it was two swallows. So ... three birds today, of course: they're diving grebes, all underwater, so it may be that you can't quite see them ... (!)
