Turning Point

Skinny Bitch

Bow Wow had to have a health check before his flight on Thursday. He behaved very well and made friends with a flirtatious German Shepherd called Peggy in the waiting area. The vet, Hamish Currie of Back to Africa fame, kindly made sure that the many forms and certificates required were correctly filled in.

We returned home to collect Fizz and Hamish to go to Llandudno beach. On our way we bought some yummy frozen drinks from the guys at Vida. As we were passing DARG (Domestic Animal Rescue Group), I made a quick decision to visit. This was the last chance for the team of volunteers to see Bow Wow before he leaves South Africa. Our arrival caused huge excitement among his lookalikes and the adorable puppies who are waiting to find homes - we wished we could have taken the lot...

The waves at Llandudno were enormous and I hesitated before letting Hamish go in with his board. This beach is on the Atlantic side of Cape Town and therefore the water is extremely cold. As is often the case, a photo shoot was taking place which I blipped. We watched for a while and then went exploring.

Supper at Primi Piatti was so good! The two Kenyan waiters were overjoyed to each receive one of their country's bank notes from Russ - they said it was the first glimpse they'd had of one in years.
