Lathyrus Odoratus

What happened to ridge and furrow?

Seven deer passed through the garden this morning, fortunately avoiding the sweet pea beds. By the time I'd found the camera the blip opportunity had passed. So instead here's a photograph of a field of polyphene. I've noticed these polythene stripes appear almost overnight for the past few years - I've never actually seen the machinery that lays them in action. Its used to grow maize.
