A load of old corn!

Well actually it is the Leeds Corn Exchange - if you look closely in large you will see the sheaves of corn either side of the clock. The building was refurbished a few years ago and it now houses rather select shops and a restaurant and food outlets in the basement. It used to be the place for rather more quirky and way out outlets when I visited more regularly with my daughter some years ago.

It was a stopping off point for us today out of the rain for coffee on our way to do more serious business in the travel shop. My friend and I were going to add her to part of our NZ trip next year. We will meet up in Sydney and fly on to Christchurch together before exploring the South Island. She will then visit a friend In Wellington before returning home and we will continue to the North Island.

It seemed to all work out remarkable well.

We celebrated with lunch at Harvey Nics! Nice.
