better late than never

I had intended to take a photo of this memorial on the 14th, but today will have to do.

It commemorates John Law Hume, a member of Titanic's doomed band, who came from Dumfries, and Thomas Mullin, from Dalbeattie, who was a steward on the ship.

Behind the memorial is the bandstand where John Hume often played when he was at home. It's a sad ruin now, like the Titanic
