LIFE!!!

have enjoyed a wonderful day today on my first outing with the Dunscore Birdwatching Group.

First, we went to the RSPB reserve at Ken Dee, and I snapped this lovely red squirrel from Beeches Hide. We saw many different kinds of birds, including a reed bunting and a couple of willow tits.

Then we went on to the Red Kite Feeding Station near Laurieston. It was amazing to see about 40 red kites in the sky all at once, such lovely graceful birds. They are fed at 2pm each day (3 pm in the summer). Well worth a visit next time you are in Dumfries and Galloway.
