Trains

Just a glimpse of my 34 hour train journey... One gets to see the entire country travelling on the train. Being in close proximity with a variety of people during the entire time can be really interesting!

Here's a random conversation snapshot:

He is less than three feet in height and she a little taller. Her eyes are wide and her lips are in a happy pout with a couple of teeth showing through. She wears a tiny dress with flowers. His eyes are smaller than hers and he shrugs from the affection of stranger ?Uncles? on the train. She comes to him and kisses him on his cheek. He replies promptly with a slap, abruptly ending the kiss. She does not cry. She moves away a few paces and both stand still for a while, neither moving closer or farther away, both trying to comprehend the situation. Finally it is she, who tries to reconcile by coaxing him to say sorry.

Then they would both be even.
