Lit up and Darkened

Went to a photography exhibition titled 'Listening Camera.' It was a series of portraits of jazz singers, either playing a gig or in studio's writing or composing. The portraits were wonderful, large crisp black and white shots, with great light on the musicians and grains, to bring out the nostalgic mood. These were musicians rapt in concentration and wrapped in their music. It was a joy to watch them.
