The Importance of Family

Definitely enlarge this if you can.

Last year was the first time I saw these spider clumps. I'm fascinated with the way they group and regroup; I think it's something to do with warmth. This bunch hangs out in a lump until the sun hits--then they scatter off in the web to do little baby spider things. Later on they will come back together. I found a different clump at the front of the house yesterday, but today they had disappeared. After a little searching I found them about four feet away, all together. So they must migrate as a group.

Let me say that I am not a huge fan of multiple bugs, and if these all survive into adulthood I trust they will not tell me, at least not all at once.
