A Sunday Wander....

Dawned a primo autumn morning, a light frost on the ground. Once the sun made some tracks in the sky the warmth arrived.

I was picked up by fellow blippers Katey and Chrissybelle we drove out to Pareora Gorge, met up with Focus members and meandered along the river banks to the now very old and full of character Pareora Dam. Obviously now disused, but way way back this was the source of Timaru's water supply. As kids we used to swim in the lovely holes and jump off - loads of fun, and my kids used to camp there with their mates in their mid teens....(it is only a hop, skip and a jump from where we live)

Take a look in large.... you will be able to see how the water force pounding on the rock has made it an almost perfect circle.

Haven't had any feedback from the property viewers yet, but it seems they were here for over an hour.

Work tomorrow, but just two days as Anzac Day falls on a Wednesday this year.....a public holiday to remember those that served their country and did not return.....always a chilling reminder.
