horns of wilmington's cow

Fox Bank (as I have now christened it) had a couple wandering about as Mel made it out on the bike for the first time since her leg break. Just around the block, but it's progress.

That was the second time out on the bike, after going out early early morning to ride the Pedal on Parliament route to make a little video of what people can expect along the way (and not just a 'route video' of course, had to play with it).

Confirmed today that Newcastle will be playing European football after Everton's fightback against Man U today, which is nice.

Not so nice is Mr Donald Trump. The Sunday paper announced this morning that he's threatening to pull out of his Aberdeenshire development if they go ahead with an offshore wind farm, which he says (seemingly with a straight face) will damage the natural heritage of Scotland. That's right. Renewable energy production = bad; golf resort meaning removal of part of an SSSI = good. The thing is, there are enough people up there who have swallowed the mistruths about house prices increasing, and a major coming to the course within a few seasons (aye right - that's not just naysaying, there are so many reasons why this simply won't happen).

So, if a few wind turbines are going to make Trump spit the dummy and toddle off to hawk his syrup around elsewhere.... Fine. Sod off.
