Golden Orb Spider

We saw these frequently on our trip but this was the biggest one - must have been 4 inches across. The webs are often stretched between trees at eye level so you have to be a bit careful on walks though the bush. This is the female. The male usually in close attendance, is tiny by comparison. She is definitely in charge!
