In your face!

Went out tonight for some food. Ended up at Knitsley Mill(Delves Lane,Consett).... absolutely stunning. There's a water mill and a stream full of ducks, also a rooster and a few other birds as you drive into the car park.

Very picturesque and the food is lovely. For a starter I had pigeon breast which was really nice, didn't taste like duck, chicken or turkey like I expected(stringy and dry)was quite a bit more like red meat?

For main I had venison which if you like meat and haven't tried it you really should. Its very sweet, not too chewy and very filling. In fact it was so filling I couldn't manage a desert...Gutted!

Anyway as you'd expect from what I've already said, I took some nice pictures of the grounds/stream/watermill but just as I was about to go into the pub I seen a rooster and his missus. So I started snapping away, the rooster was a little wary but his friend was loving it. Proper little poser.

Chose this picture from the many that were posed for because it actually looks like the chickens head is almost 3D and coming out of the screen. I had the camera about 5 inches from its face(hence the title).
