ANZAC Biscuits

When the first ANZAC's (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) travelled overseas during World War I, care packages were sent from home to cheer the hearts and spirits of the weary soldiers. Thus, ANZAC biscuits were invented.

These biscuits keep for months on end, containing no indredients which would easily spoil during lengthy postage travel times or fluctuations in temperatures.

As today is ANZAC Day, I've baked a batch of ANZAC biscuits, although they can be enjoyed any day of the year. :)
