Chez le poissonnier

A busy day today; I just had time for a quick blip in the fishmonger's. I love the fact that we can so easily buy fresh fish here. When we lived in the UK we were about as far from the sea as you can get, and anyway independent fishmongers pretty much don't exist there, thanks to the supermarkets. Fresh fish was a rare treat. Lézignan (pop. 10,000) has no fewer than three fishmongers, of which this is far and away the best. Not cheap, but always excellent quality.

In other news, our "successful" visit to Orange turned out to be not so successful. Our phone has been intermittently not working for the last week or so. Today it gave up the ghost altogether, and when S phoned to report the fault, it turned out that instead of upgrading our contract, Orange had simply cancelled it. They were unable to explain why. I thought it was all too good to be true. Thank goodness the internet connection is still working -- for the moment.
