Toy Shanty Town

I've been putting off submitting an image for the topic 'On the street where you live', as in all honesty, I don't think there is anything worthy to photograph.

It's mainly full of vehicles as each household has at least one or more cars. However, on the other side of our street is an allotment and that is what I chose to focus on for this challenge.

I'm assuming allotments are a familiar concept to everyone but if not here is a brief description: An allotment is a plot of land made available, usually from the local authority, for individual non-professional gardening. Plots are formed by subdividing the land into a few or up to several tens of land parcels that are assigned to individuals.

For the picture, I decided to use a make-shift effect which makes the subject look like a miniature scene. It's commonly called Miniature Faking or Tilt-Shift Effect, though the latter is misleading as there is no real lens tilting or shifting involved. The contrast is typically boosted to aid the effect, which it has been here.

Thanks for looking/comments/shares/favs!
