Getting Ready

This is the material for my new project. I want to try Foundation piecing. I cut out all the bits I need this after noon and I stated to piece them together this evening.
Lambing still continuing but we had a dead lamb today. The head came out first and it must have been during the night. The lamb did not survive. Delivered the eggs to Pete's at lunchtime and had a visit from the Captain and his girlfriend. They came just before dinner time and I didn't want to leave them while I made the dinner so we had fish and chips from the Anchorage.
Weather today cold and mostly dry with a few hailstone showers.
