Pickled eggs go Down Well

We have hundreds of eggs at the minute, thanks to the large number of ducks, geese and chickens that are wandering about the place. So we pickled some eggs (18 of them). We had a bit of a do at the house and in order to get through them we forced everybody to eat a pickled egg. There was a bit of resistance as the vinegar turned a bit cloudy due to the mustard and spices that were added and was described as 'sewer water.' Luckily it was agreed by all that they taste better than they look.
